Hypothesis -
The hypothesis is an educated guess for the problem that you're trying to solve.
Data gathering -
Data gathering is gathering information or researching information to help solve a scientific problem.
Multiple trials -
This means that you must take multiple tests in order to solve a problem and get the correct answer for your problem.
Variance -
The variance is how far a specific number is from the mean, or the average number, of a set of data.
Average -
When you add a few numbers, and divide that by the amount of numbers you added up, you get the average, or the mean, of that set of data.
Median -
When you order a set of data in numerical order, the median appears right in the middle.
Mode -
In a set of data, this is the number that appears the most in your data.
Histogram -
A histogram is a bar graph that is separated at intervals, like 5's or 10's.
Pie chart -
A pie chart is a circular chart that displays the numbers in your data as percentages, as if they were slices of pie.
Inference -
An inference is a conclusion or answer based on reasoning and data.
